Based on the encounter of a chaotic system and a music score, this piece attempts to manage chaos in order to keep the musical continuity. A sonic object, with a random rhythmic behavior, determines the duration of formal units of music (motifs, phrases). The discontinuity, issue of rhythmic disproportion, is compensated by harmonic continuity. The latter is assured by a live electronics device that calculates each section’s pitches according to the previous section’s last pitch.
